Shelter Brimming with Adoptable Animals
The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) is experiencing an overload of animals at their shelter. SCCAS has had a larger-than-usual influx of pets that stray from home when spooked by the bangs, explosions and fiery overhead visuals from fireworks popular on and around the July 4 holiday. Adopting out animals helps open up precious space at their open-admission shelter for other animals that need Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter’s help. To encourage more animal adoptions, the following adoption specials will apply during the month of July 2014:
Puppies and Dogs – $75 Adoption Fee
Kittens and Cats – $50 Adoption Fee
Rabbits – $25 Adoption Fee
All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip (including registration), age appropriate vaccinations and Felv/FIV testing, routine treatment for fleas/worms, collar and leash (for dogs), pet carrier (for cats) and a free pet wellness exam with local participating veterinarians.
