12th Annual “Day on the Farm”

May 9 at the Santa Cruz County Fair Grounds

Bring your family, friends and your neighbors to our 12th Annual Day on the Farm event to Feature Farming Techniques from both the Past and Future at the Santa Cruz Fairgrounds. The Agricultural History Project’s Day on the Farm is like taking a step back in time to experience our own agricultural legacy and compare past to the present.

Activities include: ● Farm Animals to see and pet: horses, cows, sheep, rabbits, chickens, goats ● Ice cream making the old-fashioned way ● Butter churning ● Fresh cheese making ● Rope making ● Hay wagon rides with tractors ● Hay rides behind draft horses ● Wooden cow milking ● Hay cutting from real oats, wheat and barley ● Kids (real) tractor driving ● Stilt Walking ● Old-fashioned hoops ● Crafts ● Rocket launching ● Games with 4H’ers ● Farmbotix robot demos ● 3-D Ag map printing ● AND MORE!

Food will available for purchase or you can bring your own picnic! It’s fun for the whole family!

About Agricultural History Project: Non-profit organization School groups and families from around the Central Coast and all over the US spend hours exploring our agricultural exhibits, restored tractors, old-time farm implements, plants like hops and alfalfa, our historical archives, and our Agricultural History Museum. We also have a charming gift shop, the Country Corner.
