Gavin and Jessica from UC Santa Cruz’s Earth and Planetary Sciences Department will be in the Museum’s galleries READY TO TALK ROCKS.\nSaturday, June 10, 2023\n11 a.m. to 2 p.m.\nLocation: Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History\n1305 E. Cliff Cliff Dr., Santa Cruz\nFree with Admission\n$4 Adults | $2 Students and Seniors | Free for Youth Under 18\nFAQ\n\nWhat types of rocks can I bring?\n\nRocks, fossils, and minerals are all welcome! Gavin and Jessica are experts in geochemistry, but love all types of rocks.\n\n\n\nHow many rocks can I bring?\n\nFeel free to bring as many samples of you like, but depending on the crowd, we may implement a 3-rock maximum for identification.\n\n\n\nWill there be a presentation?\n\nThis is a drop-in day, so Gavin and Jessica will be present and able to talk with folks as they arrive. There will be no formal presentation, so drop-by anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.\n\n\n\nIs there a fee?\n\nThe Rockin’ Pop-Up will take place inside the Museum and is free with admission. June 10 is also the first day of our new exhibit The Inner Lives of Shells.\n\n\n
