Angel — The Soul of Patience

These soulful eyes have seen a world of hurt, but Angel (ID#A141473) is an exceedingly sweet dog and has been tolerant and patient with every person she’s met. She came to us practically bald and expecting the human hand to be unkind but quickly learned that she’d landed in a safe place and took to her new life with enthusiasm. She’s been playful and flirty with other dogs her size but may be a bit too rough and rowdy for small dogs to be able to handle. Another resident big dog that will treat her with respect and honor her sense of play would be welcome but she could also do very well as an only dog since she has plenty of love getting (and giving) to catch up on.

At approximately 9 years old, Angel still has a lot of spring in her step and has been going on short hikes with her foster family. She’s a nice balanced girl, active when you want to be, but ready to settle and hang with you, too.

Angel is such a special being, a hands-down staff and volunteer favorite. Get to know Angel and you’ll understand the true meaning of the word “underdog” and why people love to root for them. Despite the cards being stacked against her, she has triumphed. Now all she needs is a human partner to share her success with.
