Annual_Hallcrest-Vineyard Beer Festival Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comAs if adding Margaritas to this year’s event wasn’t exciting enough, the 17th Annual Scotts Valley Art, Wine & Beer Festival, taking place Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20 and 21, has joined forces with the Scotts Valley Cops ‘N Rodders Vintage Car show, guaranteeing a festival the whole family will enjoy.

On Saturday August 20 the Scotts Valley Peace Officer’s Association Charitable Foundation presents the annual “Cops ‘N Rodders” antique car show.

Saturday’s festivities will begin with registration at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk followed by a police-escorted classic car cruise that begins at the Boardwalk, winds along East Cliff Drive to Capitola and ends at the Art, Wine and Beer Festival at beautiful Skypark in Scotts Valley where cars will be displayed to the public. Registered cars will be judged and the best two cars in each category will be honored with a plaque. In addition, one participant will receive the Chief’s Choice award for Best in Show and their vehicle will be displayed on the event’s T-shirt the following year.

Funds raised through the car show are exclusively used to sponsor local school and recreation sports teams, youth organizations, Sober Graduation Nights, along with scholarship opportunities for local youth.

Besides the car show itself, Saturday’s events typically includes police/fire/safety exhibits including a helicopter visit and a police dog demonstration from local law enforcement agencies.
