Aptos Fog Wins AAU Tourney

The Aptos Fog won the varsity boys division of the Each One, Teach One AAU Boys Basketball Tournament over the weekend. The Fog went 4-0 in the two-day tournament, defeating the SLV Redwoods 48-24, beating Each One, Teach One 82-39, winning over the San Jose Hornets 56-45, and edging the North County Magic 54-53 in the championship game.

Cole Welle, Mark Hinojosa, and Ben Dorfman were the Fog’s leading scorers, and Cole Welle, Luke Rossi, and Nemo Howe led the team in rebounding. Shandy Victory led the team in assists, and Brooks Nicholson was a defensive catalyst and led the team in steals. Other key Fog contributors were Jonah Gonzalez, Dylan Smith and Kenny Harrah.

The team is coached by Joe and Jack Smith, and by Ace Koski.
