Crystal Springs Invitational
Aptos High Girls Cross Country won with the best team score of 47 points on the three-mile course in Belmont on Saturday, October 10. The Mariners finished with a team time of 1 hour, 31 minutes and 23 seconds, three seconds off the division’s course record. Cate Ratliff of Santa Cruz had the best time of 16:42 and the second fastest time ever on the course, which will host the Central Coast Section Finals in November. Aptos’ Marea Zlatunich (17:32) placed third, Aptos’ Matti Peoples (eighth, 17:59) and Reina Garcia (ninth, 18:05) finished in top 10 for Santa Cruz County.
