Aptos 8 – San Lorenzo Valley 5 (Nov 10)
Faced with their third win or go home game within a week, Aptos High Girls Water Polo team held off San Lorenzo Valley High for an 8-5 win in their first round game of the CCS Championships. Goalie Desiree Guzman, saved seven shots while a strong Mariner defense kept the Cougars from completing their come from behind attempt.

Aptos 8 – San Benito 7 (Nov 7*)
Aptos pulled out an exciting win for third place in the MBL Playoffs, along with an invitation to the CCS Water Polo Championships by beating San Benito High, 8-7 the lead changing hands five times. Aptos pulled out to an early 2-0 lead in the first quarter. San Benito then scored 3 goals. In the second period, Kate Jeffrey tied it but San Benito answered with 2 more goals. Annie Carrico tied it at 1:44, San Benito scored again to lead at the half, 5-4. San Benito scored early in the second half for a 2 goal advantage. Aptos did not give up another goal until the final 0:41 while scoring 4 goals.

Aptos 13 – Santa Catalina 11 (Nov 3*)
The Aptos Mariners triumphed in a thrilling overtime victory over the Cougars of Santa Catalina School, 13-11, in the first round of the Monterey Bay League, Gabilan Division, playoffs. Midway through the final quarter Santa Catalina came storming back from a 5-8 fourth quarter deficit, to pull even with 1:57 remaining. With 0.31 to go Brynn Stanley, was called for an exclusion foul giving the Cougars a one player advantage. The Mariners stopped the Cougars sending the game into overtime. In overtime Santa Catalina scored first on five meter penalty but the Mariners struck back with 3 goals for a 13-11 victory.
