California Coast Classic 
at Aptos High School

In the 67-team tournament, Clovis won the team title with 245 points edging Gilroy in its Coast Classic title defense, which finished with 242 points. Liberty (216), Madera (171.5) and Las Lomas (156.5) completed the top five teams. Clovis crowned five individual champions: Brandon Paulson (106), Brandon Rhoads (126), Jordan Gieger (138), Ruger Wyneken (182) and Tyler Collier (heavyweight).

Gilroy had three champions, Nikolas Aguliar (113), Joe Delgado (120) and Johnny Fox (132). Other weight-class champions were Liberty’s Adrian Chavez (145), San Clemente’s Tyler Meisinger (152) and Kyle Marshall (170), Las Lomas’ Max Amen (160) and Max Bossert (195) and Bullard’s Bevan Brandt (220).

The top team from Santa Cruz County was Aptos finishing 15th overall with 72 points. At 195 pounds MVC senior Lucas Olgiati beat Watsonville senior Alejandro Mosqueda 3-2 in overtime for fifth place and Aptos senior Jack Harris pinned Gonzales’ Irwin Flores for seventh.
