Michelle Firebaugh relieved for the last 4 innings getting the win facing 19 batters striking out 5 with no earned runs. Carly Stanton went 2 for 3 with 1 rbi and crossing the plate once. Marrisa Curtis went 1 for 2 with 1 rbi and a sac bunt and Jennifer Segura went 2 for 4 crossing the plate once.

The Aptos girl’s 4×3200-meter relay team of Clare Peabody, Matti Peoples, Yulisa Abundis and Olivia Quinn set the record at 46:34.93 breaking the previous Wildcat Relays record of 48 minutes, 3.14 seconds
Wildcat Relays Recap – Watsonville High (Mar 8)
Aptos Boys: Placed either 1st or 2nd in every running event on the track (there were 9 running events), and placed in the top 4 in every field event except the Long Jump Relay (there were 6 field events). Highlights:
1st place relay teams – 4x3200m relay (41:09.04), 4x100m relay (45.63), 4x800m relay (8:45.72), sprint medley relay (3:58.58), 4x110mH (1:11.26), distance medley relay (11:10.35), 4x400m relay (3:47.42).
2nd place teams – 4x400mH relay, 4x200m relay, high jump relay, discus relay, and pole vault relay.
Jack Rose was a member of four 1st place relay teams (4×3200, 4×800, sprint medley, and 4×400).
Aptos Girls: Out of the 15 events, they placed in the top 4 of every event except 2.
1st place relay teams – 4x3200m relay, 4x800m relay, distance medley relay, 4x400m relay, long jump relay, triple jump relay, and discus relay.
2nd place teams – 4x400mH relay, 4x100m relay, 4x100mH relay.

Relay highlights. The Aptos boys won 6 events (4x110m shuttle hurdle relay – 1:13.7, 4×800 – 8:43.5, 3x300mH Relay – 2:17.9, Distance Medley – 11:20.3, 4×400 – 3:48.9, and the Discus Relay – 259’9”). They finished 2nd in 5 others (4×100, High Jump Relay, Triple Jump Relay, Shot Put Relay, and Pole Vault Relay)
Top individual marks of the day: CJ Pisturino, Aptos – triple jump – 37’ 3”.
Aptos Girls: Scores: 1st – Aptos (99), 2nd – NMC (77), 3rd – Scotts Valley (56), 4th – San Lorenzo Valley (48), and 5th – Soquel )37).
Relay highlights – Aptos won two events (4×100 – 53.5, and the Shot Put Relay, 78’ 1 1/4”), plus finished 2nd in six events ( 4×100, 4×800, Sprint Medley, Distance Medley, 4×400, and the Discus Relay).
