Menlo School 9 – Aptos 6 (Nov 1)
Aptos spotted Menlo School a first half 6-1 lead. The Mariners clawed back to make it close, before a 9-6 loss in a DIV III 1st round game played at Santa Cruz High school.
The Mariners lead early off of a Kiegan Lee shot. But then Menlo scored six unanswered goals. The Mariners never gave up, playing hard until the end. Playing in her last game for Aptos, Kiegan Lee scored three goals, one assist and three steals. Contributing two goals, two assists and four steals was sophomore Kristen Malone.

Lila and Rebecca Sampson advance to Semis of CCS Girls Tennis Doubles Championships. They upset No. 2 seed Yana Gurevich and Fiorella Chen of Los Gatos 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals at Bay Club Courtside. The twin sisters are the first female tennis players from the county in singles or doubles that has reached the semifinals since 1986.
