Aptos Keyboard Series Presents Pianist Anna Dmytrenko

Keyboard_AnnaDmytrenkoPhoto Anna Dmytrenko Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comOn Sunday September 20 at 3 p m at Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church 9850 Monroe Ave. Aptos, the Aptos Keyboard Series will present the 22 year old, highly acclaimed Ukrainian pianist Anna Dmytrenko. The concert will feature works by J S Bach, Scriabin, Brahms and a World Premiere of Aptos composer and Cabrillo College faculty member Josef Sekon.

The Aptos Keyboard Series is a “grass roots” movement that began in May 2015. The movement is dedicated to bringing young, highly gifted keyboard artists to our community, offering them the most valuable opportunity of performing in public.


Anna began her piano studies at an early age and entered the Mariupol School of Music in the Ukraine. Since then she has dedicated her life to the piano and performance. Anna furthered her musical education at the Delaware Music School as a pupil of David Brown and was admitted to the Juilliard School Pre-College Division to study under scholarship with Oxana Yablonskaya.

She has performed in such renowned venues as the Kimmel Center of Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Salle Cortot, Yamaha Salon, St. James Piccadilly, Temple Emanu-El, St. Martin in the Fields and many more. Anna has participated and won many international piano competitions, amongst them were the Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Competition, Viardo International Competition, the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, Third Prize at the New York International Piano Competition and placed very high in the 2014 Arthur Rubinstein Masters Competition.

Anna received her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano from the Royal Academy of Music, London under the mentorship of Christopher Elton. Currently she won a scholarship to study with Pascal Devoyon at the University of the Arts in Berlin, Germany and has flown from Berlin to Aptos to perform for our community.
