Arrest in Twin Falls for Soquel Drive Shooting

On July 19, Patrick Diaz, 29, was arrested in Twin Falla, Idaho, for his involvement in the Jan. 13, 2021 shooting at the 2500 block of Soquel Drive near Winkle Avenue in unincorporated Santa Cruz County, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.

Diaz is facing charges in Twin Falls and will then be extradited to face charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, gang enhancements and parole violation in Santa Cruz County, according to Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ashley Keehn.

It’s not clear what information led local detectives to Twin Falls.

With the help of Twin Falls Police Department, Diaz was taken into custody without incident, according to Keehn.
