Attempt to Locate Arson Suspect

On Dec. 10, 2023, at approximately 6:50 p.m., the Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at the California State University, Sacramento campus in the City and County of Sacramento.

The fire was determined to be incendiary (arson) and on State of California property. The suspect was later identified as Cody Alexander Haney. An arrest warrant for Haney was issued by the Sacramento County District Attorney for 451(c) P.C. (Arson) with bail set at $50,000.00.

Haney is a male Caucasian, reported to be 5’6”, 165 lbs., 33 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Most recently seen wearing a beige hoodie, blue vest, camouflage pants, brown boots, and a blue/pink colored Fila brand backpack. He’s reported to be armed with knives.
