The application must be submitted with supplemental documents and an original essay on an impactful financial experience. Eligible applicants must have earned a high school diploma or GED certificate by September 1, 2016, and have a Bay Federal Credit Union savings account in good standing when submitting their applications.
“This scholarship is a unique opportunity for students of all academic levels to receive money for college or career training after high school,” said Carrie Birkhofer, President and CEO of Bay Federal Credit Union. “It’s also a great way for students to learn and teach others about personal finance.”
Over the past eight years, the Credit Union has awarded 27 scholarships totaling $22,500. Winners will be notified by February 26, 2016, and will be honored at the Credit Union’s annual meeting on March 29, 2016.
