Bay Federal was the sole financial institution and the only business from Santa Cruz County to be selected as one of the “Best Places to Work.” Just 125 companies out of 400 applicants made the list, which honors businesses that have exceptional workplaces and appreciate their employees.

Based on employee surveys conducted by Quantum Workplace, Bay Federal was ranked 22nd in the mid-sized company category (100-249 employees).
It scored 90.22 points — 4.42 points away from first place. Bay Federal was one of only two not-for-profits to make the list. The other was YMCA of San Francisco.
