A Buddy For Life

SPCA Featured Pet

You’ll find a buddy for life in this beautiful 4-year-old Boston Terrier with a name that matches his desire to be your forever friend. Buddy was owned by backyard-breeder trying to make a buck and ended up getting dumped at an over-crowded shelter after being replaced by a younger version. His ears and tail had been horribly cropped and his body was terribly thin and covered in a film of crust. From his new shelter cage, Buddy watched as his owner walked away and didn’t look back.

Buddy was rescued from the shelter at which he was abandoned and is now available for adoption at the Santa Cruz SPCA. This dapper boy is a true American gentleman and has never met a stranger he doesn’t like. Instead of a wagging tail, this boy wags his entire body along with his nub tail and is always excited to see a smiling face. Despite his past, Buddy has an extremely positive outlook and is up for a new adventure at the drop of a hat. He is wonderful with children and loves to play ball, tag, and tug. Social time with other dogs is important to Buddy as he likes to get to know dogs his size and larger. He’s respectful of space with the less playful but enjoys those wanting to take a good romp around the park with him.

This boy is on the active side and loves to be out and about. If you’re looking for a hiking partner or a beach buddy, this Boston is your man! He is about 25 lbs, which is a great portable size and has the perfect temperament for being out and about amongst people and pets. He will be easy to train because if his agreeable nature and loyal tendencies. You’ll be sure to get attention with this beautiful boy, his one blue-eye will draw crowds. You really can’t get any goofier, friendlier, or sweeter than our boy, Buddy.
