Cabrillo College Announces Board of Trustees Vacancy for Area III

Applications for Provisional Appointment Due October 24 by 12 noon

APTOS, CA —Cabrillo College today announces that due to the resignation of Susan True, a vacancy exists in the seat representing Area III of the Board of Trustees of the Cabrillo Community College District. The Board of Trustees is now soliciting nominations to fill the seat.

The provisional appointment will begin immediately following selection by the Board of Trustees on November 3, 2014, and the appointee will fill the position until the next regular election of the Board of Trustees in November of 2016.

Anyone interested in serving on the Board during this interim period is encouraged to do so by submitting an application, including a brief statement of interest and qualifications. The application is available online at www.cabrillo.edu. Hardcopies are available at the Cabrillo College President’s Office. Applications and statements must be received in the President’s Office at Cabrillo College by Friday, October 24, 2014 at 12 noon. Applications and statements may be submitted in person or via U.S. Mail (Cabrillo College – Room 203, SAC West, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos, CA 95003).


Eligible candidates for the seat must reside and be registered to vote in Trustee Area III. Trustee Area III includes a portion of the City of Capitola as well as Live Oak, Soquel and a portion of Aptos.
