Halloween Crafts for Kids

New Leaf Community Markets Capitola • 2 -5 p.m.

Bring your witches, superheroes, goblins and princesses to decorate mini pumpkins. Costumes not required but welcome. 2 -5 p.m. at New Leaf Community Markets, 1210 41st Ave, Capitola.

Capitola Village Children’s Halloween Parade

Parade begins at Pacific Cove Parking Lot • 2 p.m.

Calling all ghosts, goblins, boys and ghouls…it’s time for the annual Capitola Village Children’s Halloween Parade! Line-up begins at 1:30 PM in the Pacific Cove Parking Lot above Capitola Police Department and City Hall. The parade begins promptly at 2:00 PM. Parade route will head down Capitola Avenue to the Esplanade ending at Esplanade Park where there will be cookies and juice from Trader Joe’s, caramel corn from New Leaf Community Markets, and other refreshments, plus trick-or-treat bags for the kids. Shoreline Middle School Band will perform in parade and following at Esplanade Park. Children may trick-or-treat at participating Capitola Village shops following parade.

NOV 1 – Friday

Chaminade Resort & Spa hosts First Friday Santa Cruz • 6 – 9 p.m.

The Spa at Chaminade will be hosting its first, First Friday Santa Cruz art our showcasing the works of local artists Eugene Dovydaitis, Vince Broglio, Nancy Riedell, Neil Simmons, Coco Virostko, and FJ Anderson. Guests will enjoy light appetizers and wine tastings by Alfaro Family Vineyards outdoors on the spa’s private patio, live music, 15% off all spa retail and facial products, complimentary chair massage and raffle to win a spa treatment. Alissa B. Jewelry will also be available for purchase.

Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Celebration Thrive Natural Medicine • 2 – 6 p.m.


Come meet the doctors and practitioners, tour the clinic, enjoy small bites catered by Chef Zachary Mazi and Food Is Medicine, beverages, raffle prizes, music, health talks & demos, and vendors.

Located in the Brown Ranch Marketplace, join the Capitola-Soquel Chamber for an After-Hours Networking Mixer at Zizzo’s Coffeehouse & Wine Bar. Enjoy wine and coffee tasting, appetizers, raffle prizes and networking. $5 Capitola-Soquel Chamber Members; $10 Non-members.

Surfin’ Santa @ Capitola Beach • 12:00 pm

Ho…Ho…Ho…Santa Claus is coming to town. Surfin’ Santa that is! By outrigger canoe, Santa & his reindeer will arrive on the shores of Capitola Main Beach at 12:00PM. Be sure to bring your camera to capture Santa’s wave-riding arrival…and don’t forget your wish list! Once Santa has toweled off, he’ll settle in his beach chair to hear holiday wishes and have a nice long visit with all the children. Holiday Networking Luncheon @ Shadowbrook Restaurant 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
