California Statewide Fire Summary

California Statewide Fire Summary
Unknown-1Friday, September 19, 2014
Cooler weather Thursday allowed firefighters to make good progress on several fronts including in the containment of the Dog Bar Fire, which had been burning since Saturday in Nevada County. Today over 7,600 firefighters continue to battle 9 major wildfires burning in California. Unfortunately, the cooler weather was a short reprieve, as a warming trend is likely today and through the weekend.

With fire activity remaining high as well as fire danger, all Californians are asked to be cautious outdoors and take steps to prevent sparking a wildfire. One less spark means one less wildfire. Learn more at www.ReadyForWildfire.org.
