The annual Youth Chess Tournament at the Capitola Branch Library on July 1 provided a place for 50 budding chess enthusiasts to showcase their skills and engage in friendly competition.
The tournament featured a competitive yet friendly format, ensuring that participants could challenge themselves against players of similar age and experience levels. With multiple rounds consisting of one-on-one chess games, the tournament offered an intellectually stimulating environment for players to demonstrate their mastery of the game.
