Central Fire of Santa Cruz County Firefighters Hit the Streets to Raise Money For MDA!

Central Fire of Santa Cruz County, serving the communities of Live Oak, Soquel and Capitola, Professional Firefighters Local 3605, will be hosting the landmark fundraising event, “Fill the Boot” on Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).  The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) has been a supporter of MDA for over 55 years!

Local firefighters will be at prominent intersections in Capitola on May 23rd and 24th.  Look for them at the intersection of Stockton Avenue & Capitola Avenue as well as at Capitola Avenue and Monterey Avenue.  There you will find these American Heroes collecting money from local drivers and pedestrians to benefit MDA.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency working to defeat neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.  MDA is the largest nongovernmental sponsor of neuromuscular disease research.
