City of Capitola Evacuation Order

UPDATE: The evacuation orders have been lifted.

An evacuation order has been issued for Capitola neighborhoods with a high risk of flooding during today’s storm. If your residence is in the marked area of the map, you are under evacuation orders.

While this may not coincide with the County’s Zonehaven map, please note that if you are within the marked areas, you are under an evacuation order.

Please note that this is an active weather situation and things are expected to change quickly. Our City crews are continuing to work to observe and improve drainage from the Creek.

The City has coordinated with the Red Cross to open an emergency shelter at the Community Center, located at 4400 Jade Street. Kenneled animals will be accepted, owners must remain onsite.
