Supervisor Zach Friend will have an internationally-recognized leader in vaccine development and COVID-19 as guest on the next tele-town hall Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 6-7 p.m.
Dr. Maria Elena Bottazzi, associate dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine, professor of pediatrics and co-director of Texas Children’s Center for Vaccine Development at Baylor College of Medicine, will speak about her latest work on COVID-19 vaccine and therapeutics development.
Dr. Bottazzi is co-chair of the New Vaccines and Therapeutics Taskforce of the Lancet Commission on COVID-19. She will explain the process for vaccine development, provide general updates on COVID-19 and answer your questions.
