“The SPCA is such a compassionate organization that does an extraordinary job caring for the welfare of the needy animals in our community, said Erik Johnson CEO and Founder of Erik’s DeliCafé. “My family and I have always lived with pets in our home. We are huge animal lovers and I know many of our Erik’s DeliCafé Team Members are as well. We are happy to partner with the SPCA and their staff to help raise awareness, offer our support and help find many of these animals great loving home.”

Santa Cruz CSPCA operates solely on donations and fundraising efforts to keep their doors open. Not only does the SPCA rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt out over 1,000 animals a year, but the non-profit organization also provides vital programs to the community such as humane education, discounted spay/neuter, Heather’s Free Pet Food Program, Blackie’s Senior Pets for Senior People, a Pet-Loss Grief Support group and more. “Our shelter is full of wonderful animals that are ready to give so much love, all they need is a chance. We are dedicated to finding each and every animal in our care the perfect forever match.” said Mandi Hart at the Santa Cruz SPCA on Chanticleer Avenue in Santa Cruz. “Many of our animals were abandoned or rescued from dire circumstances; even with rough pasts it’s amazing how quickly they bond and become loving and loyal companions. Pets help enrich our lives and can make us happier and healthier people. Adopting a shelter pet will allow the enrichment to go both ways.
