Dominican Announces COVID-19 Vaccine Plans

Dr. Steve Magee, president, Dignity Health Medical Group-Dominican, issued this statement Friday afternoon about vaccine distributions:

In accordance with federal and state guidance we offered the vaccine first to health care workers and now we are prepared to start vaccinating Dignity Health Medical Group/Dominican patients starting next week.

Dignity Health Medical Group/Dominican is preparing to act as quickly as possible to provide vaccinations to our patients that meet the eligibility criteria as determined by CDPH and the CDC.

In accordance with CDPH and CDC guidelines, we will be initially focused on Dignity Health Medical Group/Dominican patients who are 65 years old and older, along with our patients who work in health care, education, child care, food services, and agriculture.

Eligible patients should contact their primary care provider to make an appointment for their vaccination.
