Doug Deaver Sworn In as Capitola/Aptos Rotary Club President for 2013-14

Doug Deaver, the President of the Rotary Club of Capitola Aptos has in mind great goals for the local Rotary Club’s coming year. The year begins with having FUN but there is also a serious side to his strategic plan.

Deaver’s initiative is to provide community club service in areas like Rotacare, Interact, RYLA, student scholarships, youth leadership, beach cleanup and other ways that we can better the community and help provide training to future leaders of our community.

His focus will also be on better promoting our club to the community, increasing membership by at least 3 members, help fund a global program that makes a difference, provide grants to community organizations consistent with the goals of Rotary International and our local club.

To do all this we must successfully fundraise to achieve these goals. Finally, promote joint activities and meeting exchanges with other local clubs. Deaver’s goals are important in the overall success of Rotary Club of Capitola/Aptos.
