Eighth Annual “Walk to Stop the Silence” in Watsonville

Stop-the-SilenceApril is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect and encourage individuals and communities to support children and families. Survivors Healing Center invites community members to join us in the fight to end child sexual abuse!

The Walk to Stop the Silence takes place in the City of Watsonville during April’s “National Child Abuse Prevention Month.” The goal of the Walk to Stop the Silence is to increase awareness of child sexual abuse in our community and reach out to those victimized. Survivors Healing Center encourages families, service providers, churches, community members and law enforcement to come and join us. Join us in the fight to end child sexual abuse in our communities! Take action and join the movement! We invite community members to raise funds for our programs. The Walk to Stop the Silence is led by Survivors Healing Center in collaboration with: Beyond Abuse Radio, Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.), Community Action Board, DJ Bahia Tropical, Grupo Folklorico Los Mejicas, Head Start, Janus of Santa Cruz, Monarch Services, Pajaro Valley Shelter, PAPAS, Rising International, Salud Para La Gente, Santa Cruz Residential Recovery, Sin Barra, Si Se Puede, Stop the Silence, Walnut Avenue Women’s Center, Watsonville YWCA and White Hawk Danza Azteca The Santa Cruz Sentinel and The Register-Pajaronian.
