Earlier this morning, 20 year old Karma Mendenhall walked away from the Santa Cruz Main Jail’s kitchen area. Mendenhall was a low risk sentenced prisoner housed at the Rountree Minimum Security Jail in Watsonville. Mendenhall was assigned to a kitchen crew of inmates who provide food preparation services for jail facilities.

Mendenhall is a white male adult, 6’01, 155 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan colored jail issued sweater and green colored jail issued pants, and running towards the levee area behind the main jail at 259 Water St. Mendenhall was a sentenced prisoner serving time for misdemeanor offenses and had a release date of October 29, 2016.
