On Aug. 28, the U.S. Department of Defense identified the 13 members of the U.S. military killed in the Aug. 26 attack on the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, as they were working to safely evacuate people in the wake of the takeover by the Taliban.
These 11 Marines, one Army Sergeant and one Navy Corpsman made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.
