Families Will Experience Agriculture at 2nd Saturday on the Farm

Join us Saturday, July 12, as we will have fun with Games and Grilling!  Come on out and learn how to play old-fashion games like jacks, marbles, three-legged races, sack races, hopscotch and bean bag tosses. Summer is the season for grilling, and we’ll have an array of meats and veggies on the grill waiting for you to taste!  Kids will have a great time planting seeds to take home and watch grow. Enjoy the live animals, including chickens and rabbits!  As always, there will be tractor driving and hayrides.  Don’t miss this free, fun, family event on Saturday, July 12, from 11am-3pm at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

ABOUT AGRICULTURAL HISTORY PROJECT: Non-profit organization. School groups and families from Santa Cruz County spend hours exploring our educational exhibits, historical archives, and the agriculture research in the Codiga Center & Museum. When you visit, be sure to stop by our charming gift shop “Country Corner!”

We are located at the entrance to Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville, California.  As you discover the rich agricultural history of Santa Cruz, Monterey and Pajaro Valley, you will learn about the crops, people, artifacts and farming practices that have made the Central Coast of California what it is today.
