Five Days Road Repair on State Route 236

Full Closure near Boulder Creek Begins Monday, March 27

Road Repair Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comSANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Caltrans will repair a slip-out on State Route 236, just south of the Junction of State Route 9/Route 236 (Waterman’s Gap). The closure limits will extend from the northern junction of Highway 9/236 to approximately PM 16.7. This section of highway will be fully closed Monday, March 27 through Friday, March 31 to facilitate Caltrans work 24 hours a day at this location.

NOTE: Detour using southbound Hwy 236 towards Boulder Creek to Hwy 9. Motorists can expect 45 minute delays when utilizing detour due to full closure.

The contractor for this emergency construction project is Granite Construction Inc.


Caltrans reminds motorists to move over or slow down when driving through Caltrans work zones.
