Get Help Joining a Non-Profit Board

SANTA CRUZ – Santa Cruz County BoardMatch makes it easy for people with little or no prior board experience learn about volunteer board service and get matched to a local nonprofit.

It’s is a great way to build one’s professional résumé, connect with other committed individuals and give back to the community.

Participants get an overview of the local nonprofit sector, learn the essentials of good governance, join in a simulated board meeting and meet 3-4 potential nonprofit matches.

The two evening program runs Thursdays, May 29 and June 12, 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., at Community Foundation Santa Cruz County, 7807 Soquel Drive, Aptos.

The Early Bird discount of $50 is available through May 19, and $100 after that. Registration ends May 27. The fee includes dinner both evening, materials and matching services.
