Glamour and Glitz at the Grove

SAVE THE DATE — Saturday, March 12, 6:00 – 10:30 p.m.! Join us for a spectacular evening at the iconic Cocoanut Grove Dance to big band rhythms while celebrating a magical evening supporting your Santa Cruz Symphony Orchestra and its community and school programs. As you may know, we are blessed with an outstanding Symphony led by the very talented Maestro Daniel Stewart who will be there at this event to greet you.

This year’s fundraising dinner and dance theme is Glamour and Glitz at the Grove. Doors will open at the Cocoanut Grove at 6:00 p.m., and you will enjoy dancing to Jon Nordgren’s exciting big band as you go Dancing through the Decades – a sampling of danceable music from the jazz era of the 1920’s, Benny Goodman 1930s, Big Band 1940’s, the swinging ‘50’s Count Basie, and the 1960’s Rock and Roll era.

The band will take a break during dinner so you can enjoy conversing with your friends. Entertainment will include a live magician amazing you with his slight of hand right at your table. Besides salad, entre, and desert, dinner will include champagne and red or white wine. There will also be a no-host bar.

You may bid on either exciting silent or live auction items which will include trips, condo rentals, gift certificates and more. $145/person will pay for the entire evening. If you reserve a table for eight or ten you get a reduction of $20 to $125/person. Last year’s Gala was a sell-out, so don’t wait too long to sign up.
