Habitat for Humanity Celebrates Start of New Project

Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay broke ground in early May on a new affordable housing development in Freedom that will create 13 permanently affordable homes for local families.

“This groundbreaking represents more than the start of construction, it represents opportunity, stability, and hope for the families who will one day call this place home,” said Catherine Stihler, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay.

Organizers said the project is intended to expand homeownership opportunities for local families and provide long-term community benefits.
