Habitat For Humanity Selecting Homeowner Partners

Habitat for Humanity Santa Cruz County is preparing to select three partner families who qualify to become homeowners of new affordable homes to be constructed in the coming year.

Habitat’s new projects include a 3-bedroom single family home on Los Esteros Court in Live Oak. This home is the fourth of a 7-unit subdivision. Two additional homes include a 2-bedroom single family home and a 1- bedroom accessory dwelling unit in the City of Santa Cruz.

Qualified low-income families are selected based on need, ability to pay and willingness to partner. Selected homeowners are required to participate in the construction process. Interested applicants must attend a homeowner orientation meeting. This is an informational session that will cover program requirements and how to get started with the application process. Application forms will only be provided at the orientation meeting. Successful applicants must not have owned a home in the last three years, must have lived or worked in Santa Cruz County for the past year, and must fit within the listed income limits.
