On Sunday November 10, 2013, at 0903 Hrs, officers from the Santa Cruz Police Department and Harbor Police responded to a call of a body floating in the harbor waters. A 70 year old male was removed from the water and pronounced deceased at the scene. The male was identified as a resident of the harbor but his name is being withheld pending notifications to family members. The male was believed to have been living on one of the boats in the harbor. The boat was examined and there were no signs of foul play. The cause of death is pending upon further investigation by the Coroner’s Office.
