The Santa Cruz Public Libraries, with Your Future is Our Business, will host a workshop featuring four local professionals discussing their jobs 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in person at the downtown branch, 224 Church St., Santa Cruz, and online. Registration is required for both in person and online attendance at www.santacruzpl.org.
Erica Donnelly-Greenan, executive director at Save Our Shores, a marine conservation nonprofit in Santa Cruz. A marine vertebrate ecologist, she grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and relocated to Santa Cruz in 2004 to pursue graduate research focusing on the foraging ecology and ingested plastics in seabirds. She’s also been involved in citizen science programs and consulting to expand the California Fishing Line Recycling Program.
Camilla Boolootian is senior corporate partnership and philanthropy Officer for the American Red Cross. She has experience in fundraising, sales, communications and management. A Rotary member of the Santa Cruz Sunrise Club, who has served as president, and currently assistant governor for District 5170 for Area 7, she is a positive and optimistic person who gets things done and leads by example.
Elaine Johnson, a New York City native, designed, launched, and managed the Santa Cruz County Neighborhood Courts program. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a Juris Doctor from Monterey College of Law and is a certified mediator. She has experience working in collaboration in the community around restorative justice, housing, mentoring mock trial and elementary law programs. She is passionate about creating positive change.
