Highway 1 Overnight Ramp Closures in Capitola

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY– Crews continue replacing the bridge joint seals on the Soquel Creek Bridge, located between Bay Ave. and 41stAvenue in Capitola into next week, Caltrans officials have announced.

 

Overnight roadwork hours will be from Sunday, June 29 through Thursday morning, July 3 from 8:30 pm until 5 am.

 

The following ramps will need to be closed as needed to perform the overnight work:

 

There will be electronic message signs alerting motorists, who can expect a delay not to exceed 10 minutes. A detour will be using 41stAvenue, Soquel Drive and Porter Street.

 

These ramp closures are necessary for Caltrans to replace the joint seals on the Soquel Creek Bridge, which will upgrade the structure.

 

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through

                                                       highway work zones.
