HIGHWAY 9 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT BEGINS NORTH OF BOULDER CREEK

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY– A construction project to improve the existing pavement, widen the southbound traveled way and shoulder, place erosion control materials and replace metal beam guardrail on Hwy. 9 about 7 miles north of Boulder Creek and just north of Saratoga Toll will begin on Monday, August 12.

Roadwork consists of one-way reversing traffic control Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 am to 4 pm and Fridays from 8:30 am to 1 pm.  Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 20 minutes. This project is expected to be completed at the end of December, weather permitting. Electronic message signs will be posted to advise the public about this project.

The contractor for this $250,000 project is Robert J. Frank Construction of Redding, CA.
