Highways 9 and 236 Monitoring Well Removal In Boulder Creek – Two Separate Days

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY– A project under permit to remove two monitoring wells on Highways 9 and 236 and replace roadway concrete slabs at both locations in Boulder Creek will take place on two separate Thursdays starting Thursday, May 22.

 

The first location is on Hwy. 9 in front of ‘13233 Hwy. 9’. The second location is on Big Basin Way (Hwy. 236) between Hwy. 9 and Pine St. Both locations are in Boulder Creek.

 

Motorists will encounter shoulder closures and diverted traffic lanes from 8 am to 4 pm and motorists can expect a delay not to exceed ten minutes. Sidewalks will also be closed.

 

The purpose of this work is to remove two obsolete monitoring wells, one at each location on Thursday, May 22 and to replace the sidewalk slabs at each location on Thursday, May 29.


 

Message signs will be posted to advise the public about this project.

 

The contractor for this $9,500 permit project is Conestoga-Rovers & Assoc. of Emeryville.
