A homeowner must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be at least 62 years of age, or blind, or disabled
- Reside in the unincorporated area of the county
- Have a total household income of $35,000 or less
- Have at least 20% equity in your property
This pilot program is administered by the housing authority on behalf of the County of Santa Cruz. It enables homeowners in the unincorporated area of the county to postpone payment of part or all of the property taxes on their residence.
