It’s Raining Cats and Kittens!

POTW_Kittens-Galore Kittens Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comKittens here, kittens there, kittens everywhere! The season of felines has arrived and the Santa Cruz SPCA is up to their ears with kittens, their mothers as well as other adult cats. If you have been thinking about adopting your first kitten, want to add a kitty to your household, or are looking for the perfect buddy for your existing feline … now is the time to do it!

Most of our litters of kittens were socialized from birth or a very young age in loving foster homes and are extremely friendly and affectionate. When you enter the room, you may hear a collective hum of purrs coming from each enclosure and the minute you approach, the kittens, ranging in age from 8-12wks old, come bounding over to say “hi.” They range in color from orange tabby and black/white tuxedo to solid black and calico. Looking for short hair? Looking for long hair? We have both and even in between.

Choose from our playful litter of orange tabby cheeses Muenster, Swiss and Velveeta. Peruse our spunky Tuxedo peppers Paprika, Cayenne, Jalapeno and Serrano. Cuddle up with our black as night constellations Orion and Dipper. Or simply relax as you get a taste of Martini, an über cuddly Tortie, and Mai Tai, a too-cute tabby. Many times the moms are just as sweet as their babies. Sookie, a gray and white DSH is as loving, affectionate as they come. She and her last baby Bix enjoy greeting visitors with head bumps and lots of happy purrs.

If the time is right and you are looking to add a feline family member we guarantee you won’t leave our cat room without falling in love with one, two, or ten. There are quite a few paws waiting to shake yours! We prefer indoor only home for our cats and kittens because that is where they are the safest, however this is a requirement for any feline with a pink nose.

If you would like to help our feline residents, please consider donating to the Santa Cruz SPCA.
