Our company is a fully licensed and insured painting contractor, able to take on any painting challenges. We specialize in exterior and interior painting of homes, duplexes, condos, townhomes, apartments, rental properties, and restoration of homes. We also work with Home Owners Associations on painting projects.
Painting is a Family Affair!
David Juenemann graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, Maryland in 1979. He and his brother started a landscaping business in the summer of 1979. As a landscaper/handyman David got their first exterior painting job int the summer of 1980. By the summer of 1981 they had switched to full-time from landscaping to Juenemann Brothers Painting.
As life would have its David decided to move to the west coast and start his own painting company so he separated from Juenemann Brothers Painting to move to California in the winter 1982. David settled in Santa Cruz and Immediately got a job working as an apprentice Carpenter ‘s for the winter in 1982
In the fall of 1984 David had a back injury a herniated a disc and while getting better decided to. attend Cabrillo College winter of 1984 through winter semester 1986. While attending Cabrillo David was hired by a number of the instructors to work on their homes. He developed friendships with a few of those instructors for which they still maintain contact today and he still maintains the paint on their homes.
He worked miscellaneous handyman carpentry and painting through October 1989. And in November of 1989 acquired his painting contractor’s license, shortly after the earthquake. He began his business as a sole proprietor painting homes and commercial buildings by himself, by the summer of 1991 he had hired his first employee. After ten years of determination and hard work David was up to four 4 employees. David maintained 4 employees for 15 years from 2001 through 2016. And he eventually paired back to currently having 2 employees.
David has three daughters 24-year-old, 26-year-old and 35-year-old. Each on of them has worked for their dad from young teenage years through their early 20s to help themselves financially through college. Two of the three girls have moved on, Emilie the youngest at 24 who is in the pictured above is still currently a college student.
Wow what a great experience. David is a master of his trade. I tend to worry about all of the details but David instantly put me at ease with his product knowledge and attention to every detail.
The prep work was superior to any other painting contractor that I have hired. This and David's clear communication throughout each phase of the job demonstrated that he truly cares about the quality of his work.
I asked them to leave the extra paint so I could paint some other areas that were not part of the original contract. I was so surprised to find the extra painting was done for me. Additionally, the new hardware that I purchased did not match up
exactly so it took extra work to make them fit just right. David did not even mention the extra labor to me. I discovered it when I tried put that same hardware in another space.
The job was finished ahead of schedule and every day the site was left without any trace that workers had been in my home. Except, of course, for the transformation of my kitchen!

We are very happy with David Jeunemann and his crew's work. Firstly, he responded promptly and followed up with a bid that evening after we met. They just painted the entire interior of our house in 4 days. The work involved many colors/types of paint, patching of holes/water damage.
