Regional Sustainable Communities Scenarios – Presentation from the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) to the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) board at their June 26 meeting (Item # 7) on the results of the first round of public meeting input and the five land use/transportation scenarios. The next step will be winnowing the five scenarios to two hybrid scenarios. There will be another series of public meetings in Santa Cruz on July 18 and 22 to solicit feedback on the two hybrid scenarios.
25-year Transportation Funding Estimates – Presentation by RTC staff to the RTC board at their June 26 meeting (Item # 8) on the preliminary estimates of transportation revenues projected to be available through the year 2035. This estimate will be used to determine the limit for projects that could be implemented within projected revenues, separate from those that would need new funding. Preliminarily, the total amount of federal, state and local funds available for transportation equals $2.8 billion, assuming that the region will pass a local sales tax in 2016.
STARS Transportation Investment Analysis – Presentation by RTC staff to the RTC board at their June 26 meeting (Item # 9) on scenario planning to determine the projects that will be on the “constrained” (within projected revenues/higher priority) project list in the 2014 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Analysis results of transportation investments for five initial scenarios and how they compare in advancing the RTP goals and targets will be presented. Recommendations for transportation investments for two hybrid scenarios will also be sought.
Updates to Transportation Goals, Policies andTargets – Presentation by RTC staff to the RTC board at their June 26 meeting (Item #10) proposing updates to the draft transportation goals, policies, and targets preliminarily approved by the Commission in May 2012. The proposed amendments include additional targets for the 2020 (in addition to 2035) time horizon and reflect additional information resulting from refinement of methodologies used to measure progress given the varying levels of information due to resource constraints or data limitations. Additions to the draft project list for the long range transportation plan based on the Complete Streets assessment will also be presented.

Currently, the survey asks for feedback about current transportation uses and your vision for transportation options. The next phase of the survey will ask for feedback about the hybrid scenarios.
