With beach closures still in effect in Santa Cruz County, the Sheriff’s Office will have extra patrols surrounding the beaches this Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day Times Pubishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comDeputies will be staffed at beaches around the County reminding individuals of the closures. The beaches will remain closed from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

During that closure time water sports are still permitted. Hours outside of the closure, the beach is open for physical activity only.


We are seeing many visitors from the Central Valley and Sacramento Area this Memorial Day Weekend who are not familiar with the closures.
