The Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against a registered sex offender accused of exposing himself to a woman in Watsonville, and police say they believe there may be additional victims.
James Dineen, 27, allegedly exposed himself to a woman walking near Center Street while he was parked in a gray Toyota Camry. The victim provided officers with the vehicle’s license plate number, which was entered into the city’s license plate reader system.
Police said the Flock Safety camera network alerted officers Monday night that Dineen had returned to Watsonville. He was pulled over and arrested in the 500 block of Green Valley Road.
Dineen, an Aptos resident, was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on a charge of aggravated indecent exposure. According to police, he has a history of similar offenses in the region.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have encountered Dineen, or believes they may be a victim, to contact Detective Collin Travers at 831-768-3321.
