National Night Out 2016

Sergeant Patrick Dimick, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office

Your neighborhood is invited to participate with many other neighborhoods across the country in celebration of National Night Out on: Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016.
National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event that is sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch and recognized locally by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.

National Night Out is designed to: Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness. Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts. Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships. Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Participating neighborhoods Countywide are asked to turn on outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and local law enforcement.

Neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of events ranging from small potlucks and BBQ’s to block parties. Celebrate Your Neighborhood! National Night Out is for everyone! Register your event with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office now and begin planning your event as soon as possible. To register locally, simply contact the Sheriff’s Office Service Center Sergeant assigned in your area, so a Deputy can stop by your event:
