New Aptos High Boys Volleyball Coach

Aptos is excited to announce that Rick Schroeder is the new Boys Volleyball coach. Rick comes to Aptos with nine years of coaching experience. He is currently the boys Program Director and the 15U head coach for the Main Beach Volleyball Club. He is also an assistant coach for the undefeated and defending state champion Cabrillo College women’s volleyball team.

In addition, Rick was the head coach at Soquel for three years, and has coached at Harbor High School, Woodbridge High School, and for the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club and the Orange County Volleyball Club.

Rick also played four years of volleyball at Woodbridge High School in southern California, two years at Orange Coast College, and two years at UC Santa Cruz, where he helped the Slugs reach the NCAA National Championship in 2010. Rick is a graduate of UCSC with a B.A. in Sociology.
