New Shelters For Fire Evacuees

Editor’s Note: This announcement is from the County of Santa Cruz

Please seek shelter with friends and family first to reserve space for those most in need. Can you offer shelter? If you are not in an evacuation zone, please consider opening your home to others.

Shelters are available to County residents. Please advise staff of any special needs accommodations. Mental Health Services are on site. Pets are allowed, must be under owner’s control or in a carrier.

• Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium, 307 Church Street, Santa Cruz, CA (FULL)
• Seventh Day Adventist Campground, 1931 Soquel-San Jose Rd. Soquel, CA (FULL)
• Santa Cruz Fairgrounds, 2601 E. Lake Avenue, Watsonville, CA
• Santa Cruz Bible Church, 440 Frederick St, Santa Cruz. Room for 76 evacuees as well as parking

• Congregational Church of Soquel, 4951 Soquel Dr, Soquel. Bathrooms available for evacuees
• Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Dr, Aptos. Up to 50 cars and RV’s, bathrooms, water and food available

Animals

If you need assistance evacuating animals, please call 831-471-1182

Pets may be brought to shelter but must be under owner’s control at all times. A carrier may be helpful.
